Corporate Sponsor Opportunities All sponsors will receive on-site promotion, signage for events, additional promotion as arranged, and recognition in Conference Programs and Proceedings for their support. Opportunities are divided into two categories: Levels of Sponsorship and Specific Event Sponsorships. Items listed are only a sample of the sponsorship opportunities that are available to you. The OCEANS 2005 MTS/IEEE committee believes that by working with sponsors to get a clearer understanding of their business objectives, we can tailor specific sponsorship programs to fit individual needs. Sponsorship Opportunities range from $5,000 to $150,000 USD to allow for maximum industry participation. 1. PLATINUM SPONSOR ($25K) Includes the honor of an executive speaking at a scheduled event and all the benefits listed in the Gold and Silver sponsor levels.

1. SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION RECEPTION AND IMAX SHOW Thursday, September 22. Exclusive Sponsorship or Co-Sponsorships available ($50K Co-Sponsorship, 150K Exclusive Sponsorship) On-site promotion and signage at the IMAX show and Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Catered food promotion opportunity available also. Plan is to combine a new Oceans IMAX film with a presentation on the new Smithsonian Oceans Hall (www.mnh.si.edu/ocean), a prominent speaker, and catered reception. Also, sponsor shuttle service between OCEANS 2005 and the Smithsonian Institution. This will get your company name and message before attendees at our premier event and includes recognition in the Advance and Final Conference Programs as a sponsor. Several options are available.

FILM FESTIVAL Exclusive Sponsorship or Co-Sponsorships available ($10K Co-Sponsorship, 20K Exclusive Sponsorship ) Sunday evening to begin the conference (and possibly Monday evening also depending on sponsorships). Many attendees will be in town and will participate in a special program showing videos and films from numerous ocean explorations and adventures. Covers equipment rental. Signage and announcement recognizing your company name and logo and recognition in the Advance and Final Conference Programs as a sponsor.

CYBER CAFE Exclusive Sponsorship during Conference Exhibition ($20K Exclusive Sponsorship) The Cyber Cafe is a special area in the Exhibition Hall that allows conference participants to get connected while attending Oceans 2005. Attendees can use the Cyber Cafe to check their e-mail and search the Internet. Costs include internet drops and equipment rental. As a sponsor of the Cyber Cafe, your company will receive:

STUDENT ACTIVITIES PROGRAM Exclusive Sponsorship or Co-Sponsorships ($25-35K for specific elements within this program) During the conference, we strive to provide exciting, challenging, and rewarding opportunities for our next generation of ocean professionals. These sponsorship opportunities range from travel assistance to competition awards and can benefit students from around the world. Recognition in the programs and web site as a sponsor. Signage throughout the education venue and student event locations to recognize your sponsorship, as well as recognition in the Advance and Final Conference Programs as a sponsor.
5. LUNCHEONS and BANQUET Exclusive Sponsorship or Co-Sponsorships:
The luncheons and banquet are centerpiece events for Oceans 2005. Companies, institutions, and individuals will be honored for their outstanding work and service in the oceans industry. Each ticketed event averages 1,200 to 1,500 professionals from around the world and gives your company a unique opportunity to market to a captive audience. Sponsorship includes signage and recognition in the Advance and Final Conference Programs as a sponsor.
6. CONFERENCE TOTE BAGS Exclusive Sponsorship or (5 available) Co-Sponsorships ($6K Co-Sponsorship, 30K Exclusive Sponsorship) Tote bags will be distributed to all conference attendees and will become a vital resource to those collecting technical and commercial brochures and information packets. Your company name and logo will be printed on the bags. Recognition in the website and Advance and Final Conference Programs as a sponsor.
7. COFFEE BREAKS Exclusive Sponsorship or (12 available) Co-Sponsorships ($5K Co-Sponsorship for each break; 60K Exclusive Sponsorship) Two coffee breaks per day will be set up in the exhibit hall for all to see and partake. Recognition included in the programs and web site as a sponsor and signage in the Exhibition Hall to recognize your sponsorship.
8. CRUISE ABOARD THE ODYSSEY Exclusive Sponsorship or Co-Sponsorships:
To close this landmark conference on Friday, we plan to arrange both luncheon and evening dinner cruises on the Potomac River aboard the Odyssey. These memorable events provide you with the opportunity to make "the lasting impression" on conference participants as they reflect on a wonderful week and return to their home sites and businesses. Recognition will be provided by several methods including the Advance and Final Programs to maximize visibility and appreciation.
