Plenary Sessions

We have invited a distinguished assembly of Honorary Co-Chairs from across the spectrum of ocean interests to present their views and insights about the future of our “One Ocean.” These sessions provide an opportunity unique to Washington to hear the perspectives of so many key leaders during one conference. Plenary Sessions will be in the Marriott Ballroom (Salon 2-3) and will begin each day at 8:00 AM. We will begin on time and move quickly, so make sure that you arrive and are seated prior to 8:00 AM.

We are adding a new feature called Plenary Plus that will follow the Plenary Session and coincide with the Coffee Break in the Exhibition Hall. With the fast-moving schedule in the Plenary Session, there may not be time for all of your questions, so we have invited our Honorary Co-Chairs to join us at the Speaker’s Corner in Exhibition Hall B North, have a cup of coffee or tea, and spend a few minutes with you to answer your questions.

Friday, Sep. 23: “One Ocean” – Education, Literacy, and Outreach

How do we strengthen ocean education and public outreach to achieve an ocean-literate global society that will make a difference?
